ACTIONS

As far as possible, each member will strive to:

Upon news of the death of a priest's loved one or a priest, pray the Rosary and/or the Chaplet of Divine Mercy for the repose of the soul of that loved one as soon as possible.

Attend the visitation or funeral of the priest's loved one, if reasonably possible.

Each priest will be gifted a Towel of Veronica at their loved one's funeral. Each member of the Apostolate will place a note and one member will place the Towel of Veronica in the card basket at the funeral of the priest's loved one, or mailed if the member cannot attend the visitation or funeral.

Keep records of 1st anniversary death of a priest's loved one.

Remember the priest's loved one on the 1st anniversary of his loved one's passing by sending a card or note to the priest along with the assurance of prayers.

Make a weekly Holy Hour or say a Rosary for priests and their deceased loved ones, and for the Apostolate.

Remember Fr. Evan Harkins on the yearly anniversary of his death (January 28, 2020) as his death serves as the inspiration of this Apostolate's ministry.

*By "a priest's loved one" for receiving a Towel of Veronica, we mean the immediate (step) family of the priest: his mother or father, or a brother or sister. The assurance of prayers, notes, and funeral attendance can be offered and encouraged for any of the priest's extended family members, but no Towel of Veronica is given.

*Members attend a Mass on each of the feast days of the Apostolate's Patrons (see PATRON SAINTS) and a Mass of Remembrance in November with an intention for the Apostolate. Members of the Apostolate will be notified of any selected parish where the various Masses will be celebrated so that Apostolate members may gather in communal prayer together.
